Sparta, MI, June 13, 2019 – Coach and Athletic Director magazine, owned by award-winning B2B publisher Great American Media Services, has acquired three prominent sports industry magazines previously owned by MomentumMedia – Coaching Management, Athletic Management and Training & Conditioning. The acquisition will position Great American Media Services’ Sports Group as a dominant force in providing engaging, timely and relevant content for coaches, athletic directors and athletic trainers nationwide.
“With a combined 120 years of industry experience and expertise, this enhanced Sports Group will educate and inform team sports industry professionals on a whole new level,” said Great American Media Services Vice President of Sales and Publishing Director Bob Ziltz. “Our marketing partners will greatly benefit from an expanded customer base who will discover new suppliers, products and perspectives through this enhanced multimedia platform.”
The Sports Group will continue to offer the most popular content from Coaching Management and Athletic Management within the pages of Coach and Athletic Director, creating a single powerhouse brand that will cover all aspects of team sports – from facilities and product innovations, to player safety and athlete development. Training & Conditioning will continue as the leading multimedia brand focused on content specific to strength training, injury prevention, rehabilitation, improving athlete performance and more. Winning Hoops, a leading resource for basketball coaches nationwide, will round out the Sports Group.
Great American Media Services is proud to welcome Mark Goldberg to the team as Publisher. Mark brings years of sports industry publishing experience as the founder of Coaching Management, Athletic Management and Training & Conditioning. Together with Sports Group Publisher Brian Virgona, the two will lead this fully integrated platform of print publications, websites, e-newsletters and social media platforms. Kevin Hoffman will continue as Editorial Director, overseeing content for all publications. They will combine their years of experience to strategically align these magazines and create even more valuable resources for nearly 300,000 industry professionals across all 50 states.
“I’m looking forward to a successful transition of our brands and confident this collaboration will prove beneficial for the sports industry as a whole,” said Goldberg. “Individually, these magazines have dominated the competitive sports landscape for years. Combined, they will serve as powerful resources to develop winning sports programs across all levels of competitive play.”
